With the help of ChefGPT, the procedure of working with secret recipes is greatly enhanced using AI and OCR technologies. Endless paperwork? This AI-based assistant transcribes and scans handwritten recipes, organizes them in a smart database, and retrieve them with the simplicity of a chat. By offering instant recipe registration and post-quick recipe searching, ChefGPT goes above and beyond to make recipe management a breeze

Organizations that deal with secret recipes in writing on paper are likely to encounter a lot of inconveniences when handling their records. The client was looking for something a little more complex, that not only could store recipes, but also take new ones as input through scans of handwritten recipes. The objective was to design and implement a chatbot capable of searching recipes using a vector-based database and using OCR to identify handwritten recipes and turn them into easily navigable formats. The challenge? Designing an all-encompassing chatbot that can incorporate all of these steps—OCR processing, filtering, organizing, and recipe retrieval—yet remain accurate and user-friendly.

OCR Integration for Handwritten Recipes
This means that one of the most important characteristics of the chatbot is the function of image recognition of handwritten recipes. With the help of the Ocr technique, the system extracts and identifies text written on images by converting handwritten recipes to a clearer and more precise form.
Recipe Knowledge Base in a Vector Database
The chatbot also has a database of recipes that are stored in a vector form. That makes the process very fast and accurate with the use of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) hence making it easier for users to access and even engage with the recipes through the chatbot.
Automatic Recipe Registration
The new handwritten recipes can either be uploaded or captured and the images of the new recipes go through an OCR, then the formatted recipes are stored in the recipe database. This helps to reduce errors that occur when entering data manually, in addition to simplifying the process.
Real-Time Interaction
Developed through the integration of Langchain and GPT, the chatbot provides a chance for real-time communication where users can request recipes, create new ones, or provide further details.
