Computer Vision AI / Sports Analytics
Develop an automated system to track and analyze competitive swimming races using computer vision technology.
To use computer vision technology for implementing an automated race tracking and analysis system in competitive swimming.
Deriving an efficient method using OpenCV and custom algorithms for real-time tracking of the swimmers, detection of the finish time, race winners, etc., with a very low percentage of overall error.
Accomplished 100% accurate tracking, eradicated timing race errors, and provided an affordable and highly useful solution in competitive sports assessment.
To begin with, we proposed an algorithm to identify the area and boundaries of the pool so that the measurements are precise and within the right confines.
As for motion tracking of swimmers, we employed a sophisticated method of object detection in order to track their movements in the pool without the need to input all the actions manually.
To exclude other people around the pool and coaches who may sometimes be close to the pool, an intelligent filtering system was introduced to help the system ignore them.
The principal service that comprised the essence of the project was the race timing. The system accurately captured the finish time of all the swimmers and identified the winner of the race within a short span of time.
A complete AI-powered race timing system capable of tracking swimmers and detecting finish times with high accuracy.
An intelligent system that ignores distractions and focuses solely on tracking relevant subjects (the swimmers).
It puts out accurate job specifications and leverages AI to produce job postings that reach the suitable candidate.
I searches career portals and social media for top candidates, and automatically matches resumes to job descriptions, ensuring only the most suitable candidates are shortlisted
The system provided 100% accurate tracking of each swimmer’s performance, ensuring reliable race results.
Manual race tracking was eliminated, reducing human error and allowing for faster, more reliable timing results.
With the use of OpenCV and custom-built algorithms, the project was developed within budget constraints while maintaining high performance.
The system can be applied to other sports for real-time action detection and performance analysis.
